Craig Bernal passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 11th in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Craig was born on February 13, 1979 in Boston, Massachusetts.
Craig was a tremendous Boston sports fan. He is remembered for his style, class, and wonderful heart. Craig was a loving father to his daughter and enjoyed spending time with his parents.
Craig is survived by his cherished parents Madeline Folkes and Joseph Bernal as well as his stepfather, Christopher Folkes, his daughter Isabella, his sister Michelle Sweeney and his nephew Broden Sweeney.
Craig was put to rest on Saturday, June 15th in a private service held only for his immediate family.
Oh, no. Too soon; too young. I remember Craig in his tween years: he dreamed big and sought to emulate successful men in many walks of life from swimming and other sports to fashion icons and celebrities (he was a fan of the Baldwin brothers at that time). I hope some dreams came true for him. I am so sorry for his family's profound and lasting loss. Please accept my hope for healing and supported grieving and grief. I hope his mom, his dad, his sister, his daughter, and all who knew and loved him find peace in this difficult transition.
Goodbye old friend. Thank you for for friendship and all the great times we had. The summer in Boston was an experience of a lifetime and it’s one that I will never forget. I’ll miss you my brother. Rest easy.
To the friends and family of Craig Bernal:
Please accept my sincere condolences.
When anxieties & pain of losing a loved one consumes,
may knowing the comfort and support of God soothe your heart.- Psalms 94:18,19
I remember Craig as Michele's "little brother" and laugh at the sibling harassment that would take place between the two. It's been too long since I've known what Criag has been up to but for Michele, Joe, Madaline and his daughter my heart goes out to you. This is an unscheduled departure that breaks from the order of generational passing. I know is not easy news to take.
I was very saddened to hear this terrible news. Our sincere condolences from the Hall family. You will be in our prayers.
I’m so sorry to hear this. Michelle, Coach my deepest condolences to you and your family. So many fond memories of Craig and the Gator family.
So sorry to hear of this loss. It had been many years since I'd seen Craig, but he will always be remembered. My thoughts and prayers go out to the whole family.
