Anthony J. Zammuto died peacefully on September 23, 2018 after a prolonged illness at age 68, with his long time partner Sarah Polk by his side. Anthony grew up in Malden MA, one of four children and had a very close relationship with his grandmother. As the grandson of Sicilian immigrants Anthony had strong ties to the Italian American community. Anthony and his wife Darlene Zammuto were married in 1968 in Malden MA. They moved to South Florida in the 1970's, along with their two children, and together started Claims Verification Incorporated (CVI). Based out of Fort Lauderdale FL, CVI grew to be nationally recognized as an innovator and industry leader. Anthony was an avid outdoors enthusiast, talented furniture maker, painter, and was fluent in several languages. He enjoyed wildlife, gardening, fishing, cooking, and traveled across the globe. Anthony leaves behind his loving children and grandchildren; son Michael Zammuto and his wife Nancy of Philadelphia PA, daughter Lorene Zammuto and her husband Michael Conroy of Laconia NH, and 5 grandchildren; Michaela Zammuto, Joey Zammuto, Kelly Zammuto of Philadelphia PA, and Alexis Albert and Edgar Conroy of Laconia New Hampshire. A memorial service will be held on Monday October 1, 2018. Receiving hours are 2pm-4pm with a closing prayer at 3:30pm at Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services 4650 N Federal Highway Lighthouse Point FL.
